The tamping machine is a compact working machine specially adapted to manage the demands of today for short work efforts. During favorable conditions you can tamp up to 150 m by the hour.
The tamping machine is adapted to vignole and crane tracks, switches and working in narrow spaces. Furthermore you can tamp grooved rails on a bed of ballast by turning the tamping unit 90°.
The track gauge of the tamping machine is adjustable between 1435 - 1530 mm.

The tamping unit

The tamping unit is equipped with hydraulic vibrators and clamping cylinders. Ballast  tamping consist of combined movment of vibrations and sqieezing.
When tamping grooved rails the tamping unit is turned 90°. Specially designed tamping blades are used for grooved rails.

The driver seat

The position of the driver is seated close to the tamping tools gives the operator full control of tamping and densification.
Two joy-sticks control the movements and working tools of the tamping machine. It's also possible to control the machine through a portable control box.

Directions for use

1. Driving forward-reverse through two hydraulic engines on the rear wheels.
2. The tamping unit is moved sideways with a hydraulic engine, gear wheel and rack.
3. Lifting-lowering of the tamping unit is preformed by two hydraulic cylinders. Compressive force and speed are adjustable.
4. The squeeze movement of the tamping blades is preformed by two hydraulics cylinders fastened on the tamping unit.
5. Two hydraulic vibrators on the tamping unit put the tamping blades into vibration.
