Niton XRF

Niton XRF Environmental gun is an instrument with three radiation sources, that measures the inorganic compounds in solid form, such as metals.

The instrument samples and displays in digital, easily understandable form if any metals are present in the sampled material, and in what concentrations.

One area of use is selection of treated wood, including sleepers. In addition, it is used to control the contaminated soil, such as sand beds under sleepers in which metals often leach out. The metals you want to access in these contexts are copper, chromium and arsenic.

Under optimum conditions the environmental gun approaches 99% accuracy of the exact results that a laboratory can achieve, and this in a fraction of the time.
Control of arsenic or creosote sleepers is done in seconds and a soil test is done in minutes. Measurement is presented directly in the display.

Niton XRF analyzer is only available for rental.

Note to rent Niton XRF must have completed the course "Radiation Safety."
